Have You Seen My Dinosaur?

This is an uproarious little book about a boy in search of his great big green lost dinosaur. The two are playing hide and seek and the little boy is searching everywhere from the police station to the dock by the bay. A keen eyed reader and even those of us with reading glasses will enjoy finding the dinosaur's new hiding place on each page. Although he's perfectly obvious to us, the folks in the story just plain old don't see him.

The story rhymes and repeats and is very reminiscent of Dr. Seuss in its rhythm and voice. Now, it's a Beginner Reader but let's be fair here. "A Scottish beastie from Culloden" may throw a few and so might the word "Bhutan."

So, if you have a day one beginning reader, you'll enjoy reading some of this one and letting your partner read some of the easier words. Either way, it's a great adventure and you will share a lot of laughs and great fun. Perfect for reluctant readers and reluctant listeners.

How do you find a missing dinosaur who’s large and green and likes to roar? When a little boy’s dinosaur decides to play hide-and-seek, he is surprisingly difficult to track down. Veteran illustrator Joe Mathieu’s dinomite illustrations and Jon Surgal’ s saur-ing verse will have kids roaring with laughter as they romp through this funny rhyming Beginner Book.

Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.---from the publisher
