This wordless small book is filled to the brim with the delightful shenanigans of the frog who came to dinner.
The family is getting ready to go out to a fine French restaurant. As their young son dresses up, his best friends, a frog, a dog and a turtle watch with great disappointment. They know they are going to miss out on the fun.
But the frog takes matters into his own fabulous jumping legs and disappears into a pocket just in the nick of time. Frog goes to dinner and decides to make himself the main course of many of the diners starring in the musicians' instruments, the fine lady's salad and the gentleman's beverage.
The ride home is somber. The gathering in the boys bedroom is the best.
A great wordless story for young listeners who will love watching the good times unfold courtesy of a frog who knows he can go anywhere and do anything. The world is his oyster.
