Dirtball Pete

Kids and adults alike will find the humor in Eileen Brennan’s story of Dirtball Pete. Dirtball Pete looked like something the cat dragged in. It was a fact, he smelled to high heavens and never looked clean, no matter how hard his mom tried to keep him nice and neat. But on this one special day, he tried to stay clean, for it was the school play “The Fifty States and Why They’re Great” . Pete was Pennsylvania. Can he stay clean and remember his lines too? Well, he accomplished one of these tasks. The hilarious pictures play right into the storyline and would make any mother stand up and shout, “That’s my boy.”
