Chet Gecko Mystery: Murder My Tweet #10

This series combines the adventure of a mystery with some great humor. These make great books to listen to in the car on a long trip. The whole family can listen and laugh along.

“Park it and lock it, Cheese Beak,” Chet Gecko advises his wacko client, Anne Gwish, a parakeet. His partner, Nathalie Attired, has just been suspended from school and won't be able to help Chet tail his client’s two-timing boyfriend. She is accused of blackmail. It’s one bad pun and one adventure after another. This is a great series for reluctant readers. Other books by this author include The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse, The Mystery of Mr. Nice, Farewell, My Lunchbag, The Big Nap, The Hamster of the Baskervilles, This Gum for Hire, The Malted Falcon, Trouble is My Beeswax, Give My Regrets to Broadway.

And from hmh.pub: Right in the middle of a run-of-the-mill case, the powers that be finger Chet's fine-feathered partner, Natalie Attired, as a no-goodnik blackmailer and boot her out of Emerson Hicky quicker than you can say, "Boot her out of Emerson Hicky."

Chet, of course, tackles the case for free. Mess with his partner, mess with--well,somebody. (Natalie's the brains of the outfit.) But just when Chet thinks he might clear her name, Natalie disappears, leaving behind a reddish smear that looks kind of like cherry ladybug jam . . . Is it murder, or something serious?
