Together We Build

With climate change whipping up winds and storms that create lasting damage in our communities, a lot of young people are experiencing the loss of a home and the loss of a sense of normal. They know too much about destruction and despair.

This story honors the damage that can be done by a storm.  This storm breaks homes and farms and nests and burrows.  Can the animals and the people figure out how to rebuild their communities side by side?

The story doesn't stop there.  It keeps going forward with building and working together to make a new and even better world.  Turns out Mother Nature does a little rebuilding herself.  Birds build their nests back in the trees, "pecking and lining" just as the men and women and children are hammering and cleaning up.  Turns out kindness and determination can build back just about anything.

A story of hope and happy.
