A rollicking trip to the market starts out in a well-organized and purposeful manner.  This shopper has it all together, purple shoes and all, and she means business.  She starts her shopping with a contented porker slumped n the shopping cart.  He's an armful to get home to the kitchen but clearly this woman with her black pocketbook on her arm, is up to the mighty task.  Jiggity jig.

Now it's back to the market for a hen... a red hen and what has that pig been doing in the meantime?  Kitchen is not quite the tidy zone it was at daybreak.  Back for the goose and the hen...yep...on the loose.

One wilted flower, another loose hair and now holding the pocketbook in her teeth, our determined shopper is not to be overcome.

Alas, the trout's in the bathtub, the goose has a box of Golden Crunch cereal, don't ask about the goat and one of the purple shoes is gone by the time she gives in...ah but wait...she has a plan!

This is a wonderful rhyming, hilarious shopping adventure that includes the different types of things you can buy at a grocery store.  Great read aloud.
