The Magnificent 12: The Call

Humor, action-adventure, and fantasy run wild in this wacky, hilarious romp set both at school in the here and now and in the countryside of near prehistoric times.

David MacAvoy, known henceforth as Mack, is twelve years old, medium in all ways, ignored by his parents, and the target of a vicious beyond his years bully named Stefan. This is the kind of guy who uses the toilet as a weapon.

Now as the toilet flushes in the background, you need to meet Grimluk, twelve year old from three thousand years ago with a wife, two cows, and an unnamed baby son. Grimluk has built a career of leading a baron on a horse until some wise acre explains to the noble rider that if he'll just turn and face forward on the horse, he won't need to pay anyone to lead him.

Grimluk is nothing if not resourceful... he, owner of a spoon, and a mouth filled with five teeth, and an admirable amount of enlightened pussiance, quickly adapts turns his back on horse-leading and becomes a fleer. It's a good thing because the Pale Queen is on the move and no one is safe... and that includes Mack and Stefan

Unexpected wit and hilarity lurk here. This is definitely Monty Python quality humor amidst the hopefulness supplied by Stefan the anti-hero. Just how powerful are our bullies and how useful will they be against the ultimate enemies? Or will Mack have his moment? Will Grimluk add to the spoon collection or even perhaps gain a cow in the deal? Laugh out loud humor... perfect for Jokester and Belonger Connector. Thank goodness it's a series.
