The Dog Who Loved Red

Originally published in India, this is a charming, bright story of a little dog named Raja who loves red and if you love something you must chew it. Chewing up all the red things in the house earns Raja a walk in the park where he usually plays ball with his friend, Champ, a black and white dog. As the story unfolds, the author neatly describes each character and important object's color. There's a red ball, a blue hose, a violet gate and a shiny silver car but they are mere adjectives that spice up the adventure's of Raja as he goes in search of the red ball that has gone missing. You can see how this would be a great book to use for teaching color to preschoolers. Our hopeful, determined hero is on a quest and he will not be stopped. With a comical look in his extra large white eyeball, Raja squirms, leaps and slides his way to success and a just reward. Guaranteed to deliver laughter and learning, the unbeatable combination. Ages 4-7 22 pages
