Spellbinder is an exciting modern day supernatural fantasy adventure. Belladonna
Johnson’s parents died two years ago in a car accident, but she was able to continue to live with them
because Belladonna inherited the gift of being able to see and interact with the dead. Her and her
family had carried on almost normally until the stars blinked out and almost all the ghosts, including her
parents, disappeared. Along with her two unlikely allies, Steve the class clown and Elsie a ghost who
haunts her school, Belladonna must get around her Strict Aunt Deirdre and Grandmother Johnson to
find the door that will let her into the world of ghosts. Once inside she learns of greater threats and
must learn the truth about her allies herself. This book is an exciting beginning to what looks to be an
excellent fantasy series that is sure to delight fans. I highly recommended this for fans of Percy Jackson
and Harry Potter.
