Otis is a very special little tractor who loves his life working on the farm. One night the farmer brings a beautiful baby calf into the barn where Otis sleeps. The calf is soothed by the puffs of Otis in his sleep and the two become fast friends.
Then, one day the farmer brings a big, new yellow tractor to the barn and puts Otis out to pasture. This new tractor just isn't the same. Around the same time, the farmer decides to enter his calf in the prettiest calf contest. He's sure he'll win. But trouble strikes when the calf gets stuck in the mud down at the pond. Will anyone be able to save him?
This is a gentle, reassuring story about friendship and kindness and what's really important. Yellow paint and a big noisy engine aren't the stuff dreams are made of.
