Missing on Superstition Mountain

Missing on Superstition Mountain

"Look out," shouted Simon as a sound like a gunshot rang out across the mountainside sending them all ducking into the dust. Simon, Henry and Jack have just moved to Arizona to live in their Great Uncle Hank's old house. It's a big change of scenery from Chicago, Illinois. So, what is there to do out here on all these empty acres of desert and cactus? Looming over them is nearby Superstition Mountain. The boys have strict rules to stay off the mountain but now their cat, Josie, has run off and they have followed her up the trails and find themselves in danger. Life is about to hand them a mystery. Three skulls are grinning at them... who were these people? Why do so many people die or go missing from the mountain? Is there really a gold mine there? As their curiosity leads them closer and closer to what seems to be a dark mystery, the boys are joined by a girl named Delilah who has a mystery of her own. It's one cliffhanger after another as they learn more and more about the past and find themselves pulled back up the mountain in search of answers. Laced with a hint of history this book will intrigue and entertain. Ages 8-12 258 pages
