In this third installment of the Melonhead series, Melonhead and his buddy Sam have recently become “Junior Special Agents” from the FBI, and are ready to go undercover.  They have decided that a lady they met on the bus is The Chameleon—a master of disguise who is on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list.  They become so wrapped up in their mission that even though they have the best of intentions in mind, they often bungle simple tasks they are trying to do to help out friends in the neighborhood.

For example, the buddies get so caught up in staking out The Chameleon that they forget they were in the process of delivering pastries for the local bakery.  (However, the squirrels benefit from this mishap.)  This is just one of the mishaps that will intrigue even the most reluctant reader!  The two friends have a fun relationship and continually are joking and cutting up with each other.  Fun illustrations throughout the story add even more appeal to this fun story.  Ages 7-10
