A teeny tiny king named Hugo who stands only three foot three has an enormous ego and makes his long suffering subjects hear his Speech of Adoration on a daily basis. Everyone is bowing and scraping with rhythm and rhyme until the day the king has the great misfortune to cross paths with a young lady named Tessa who does not wish to submit to the arrogance of this insufferable man. She turns out to be a sorceress and she casts a spell on him that teaches him a great lesson. The rhythm and the rhyme don't miss a beat and you meet a few of those big words providing great teachable moments as you romp along hoping this little man who is so full of himself will get his comeuppance. This is a great read aloud and a wonderful book about character and just simply one fun picture book. Hail fellow...well met Chris Van Dusen. Ages 4-9
