Teenager Florrie is outraged and dismayed as she watches the vibrant independent retailers of San Antonio be overwhelmed by the big box stores that make her town look like any other town. She decides to do something about it and becomes an activist encouraging people to shop the small guy and support the independent. She organizes rallies and protests and tries to get people upset about the changes taking place all around them. There is a cute guy vying for a bit of her attention as well but it's primarily focused on her cause. Ages 12 and up 240 pages
