Can one child with a suitcase full of seeds make a difference?  Meet Lydia Grace Finch.  It's the Depression Era and Lydia Grace has been sent to live with her uncle, not the warmest or the happiest man.  Times are hard in her uncle's bakery and smiles are few and far between.

But as her seeds begin to flower, Lydia Grace brings some brightness into the lives of the city folk who come to buy their bread.

This is magical indeed but there is even more to Lydia Grace. She has discovered the rooftop and it is there that she is creating her masterpiece... a rooftop garden.

The story is told through letters Lydia writes to the folks back home.  40 pages  Ages 5-8

Can one person make a difference?  You bet you can!
