A lyrical book about the adventure of life, The Forest is also a magnificent visual work, both painterly and a technical feat of paper engineering. Here, sensory experience and the textures of the material world are rendered through die-cuts, embossing, cutouts, and two gatefolds. A beautifully considered work.--from the publisher

**************

Sometimes you pick up a book and open it and you just know you are looking at something special.  That is this book.  Concrete young readers will be fascinated to turn the pages and search the illustrations for clues about what is happening.  The "story" centers on the life of a child as the child grows older and older and experiences all of life's adventures.

Nature, the natural world around us that many seem to be oblivious to these days, holds the stage for the lives to be lived.  Trees grow and become forests.  The wonder of nature connects with us, touches our lives and remains as a constant for us.

Intuitive young readers will sense the mystery and magic that will resonate with something at their essence.  This is magic revealed as a book.  This is the wonder of a life captured in paper and ink and color.

A gorgeous message that every single life is a story and you, you my dear reader, are the author of your story.  Write a great one and know it will have both a beginning, a middle and an ending.
