Ever has been in love with her best friend Frankie as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, he's been dead and his ghost has been hanging around for the past two years. Ever is torn when a very hot new guy named Toby moves into Frankie's old house and seems interested in Ever. Things are made even worse when Frankie takes an extreme dislike to Toby and hints that Toby may have a hidden agenda. I really enjoyed this book. I wound up staying up too late because I only had 20% left and I wanted to finish. I do admit at the beginning I was thinking "what the heck?" Ever, her parents, and her BFF regularly see the ghost of her dead friend. And it is regarded as perfectly normal, maybe because they'd had two years to get used to it. Usually, in books like these the main character might see a ghost but they'd be trying to hide it from friends and family worried that they might be considered crazy. I like the way this author handled the whole ghost thing. It's like the story is 90% realistic fiction with just a splash of paranormal thrown in for spice. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a very popular book with the majority of the female students at just about any high school.
