Dog Loves Books

Dog loves books so much that he decides to open a bookstore. Brave soul that he is. He unwrapped, unpacked and blew himself and his nose dry and then opened his door to the world. But, the world did not arrive as expected. After a few false starts with people asking for tea and directions, Dog goes off into his own world-the magical world of a story. He begins to read his books and when he finishes with one he just goes right on to another. This is a testimonial to independent bookstore owners, librarians and teachers everywhere who take the time to read and know the books for kids. When customers finally arrive, Dog, having read so widely, knows just what to recommend. A celebration of the power of a book to carry you off and the wings of the librarian/teacher/bookseller who hands it knowingly to you. 32 pages Ages 4-7 (This would make a great first day of school read aloud in the library/media center.)
