What a great read aloud. A drive out into the country in an old car. The family comes to the railroad tracks, and they sit and wait and listen. And so do you. Then it comes. A faint sound then louder and louder. Wow! The power of that train on the tracks. Then the sound slowly disappears along with the train off in the distance. It's as though you've been there. One of my favorites.
