A wonderful, happy little bear cub trails his mother through the forest, up hill and down and copies everything she does. She nicknames her little one, Copycub. They "lollop through the trees" and they wade in the streams. Whatever Mama does her little cub copies as exactly as he can. Step by step he is learning from his mother how to be a bear. This education process becomes huge as winter approaches and snow begins to fall. Suddenly the little bear is so overwhelmed he doesn't know what to do but there is Mama Bear ready to teach him one more very important thing and that is how to keep going even when you are scared. She leads him safely to the cozy cave where they will wait for spring. Ages 4-7 32 pages
