Good for Reluctant Readers?
Careful Content

Can you imagine an entire city made of Legos? We're talking taxis, parks, fire escapes, roof airconditioners, traffic lights, the whole nine yards. Page by page, the big scene is broken down into small buildable sections. We begin with the Subway as seen both from the street and underground with its staircases, tracks, support poles and stiles. Or you can reach up to the sky and build something that stretches like the Empire State Building with a few gargoyles for fun. There are breakouts that give pictures of the blocks involved in the building process and a few step by step instructions for small parts of the scenes. For the budding architects different building types are displayed and some city stickers round out the possibilities. If you are a natural builder and your mind understands these pictorial instructions, then this book will offer you many creative ideas of things to do. This is more of a what to do book than a how to do it book. Plenty of afternoons can be enjoyed with the inspiration these great ideas provide. Build on! Ages 5-10 32 pages
