On Saturday morning Oz has to show up at the restaurant early to clean and get things ready to go. When he gets there, he notices that the door is not locked. Then when he enters the kitchen he sees blood everywhere and finds a dead body in the freezer. What a way to start the day!
It turns out the man in the freezer is a journalist who years ago implicated Oz’s dad as a traitor at Los Alamos where he was accused of selling nuclear secrets. Oz had never been told the truth about his father. He only knew his father died of a heart attack. As Oz deals with this new information, he immediately sets out to find the killer with his best friend Rusty who is an avid crime show watcher.
Oz' brother Dave has been arrested as the killer but Oz can’t believe it to be true. As Oz and Rusty start to uncover clues and work on solving the mystery, they find themselves in danger as they get closer to the killer. A fast paced mystery novel that would be great for reluctant readers, both boys and girls.
