"We're on the road again," could be the theme song of Dinnie's family as her father takes them from opportunity to opportunity and new town to new town. Dinnie never gets to stay in one place long enough to put down any roots and most of the time no one in her family is paying her any attention because her brother and sister keep their parents in an uproar with their juvenile mistakes. But Dinnie's aunt and uncle swoop in and whisk Dinnie off to their boarding school in Switerland.
