What an amazing, fun and funny, thoughtful and really great read aloud this is.

Every morning we wake up and start a new day and we have no idea where the day will take us - where life will take us. That's exactly what happens to Bear. He's out in the forest doing the ordinary when suddenly he finds himself falling into a river.

Bear didn't know it was a river until he fell in and now - well, now the river is taking him to some place new. There are a lot of things to do in the river and to learn about the river. Bear doesn't know any of it when he starts his journey.

With the most delightful and feather tickling touch, Bear is introduced one by one to animals he never met before and each one opens a door to something fun and amazing until finally with the turn of a page, they all find themselves in one big pile at the edge of a very great adventure.

What will happen next? Rivers don't wait around for discussion and suddenly with a big whooooosh they are off.

Luckily, these animals discover the truth about the river, about themselves and about life in general. We're all in it together.
