Follow the bouncing flea through the black and white barnyard as the crowd gets thicker and thicker. Begin by finding the one flea - a simple task- on the gently watercolored first spread with the number ONE in the top right hand corner. The flea is off to bounce off the number two and the nose of a primitively drawn pair of cows at the trough. Three adds some horses also black and white to confuse the eye. Turn the page for four and things are really getting fun. The eyes of the animals are very expressive ranging from astronishment to humor to motherly love. By the time you're looking for the eleven new animals things are really getting involved to say the least. Somewhere in that gaggle, you'll find eleven new animals. Can you find them? This is a great book for children who love to pour over an illustration to find a missing object. The added attraction is counting the animals in the barnyard. Wonderful fun! 40 page
