It's all about a woman named Miss Grant who gets an ant in her pants. This is the ant that is standing atop the ant hill with suitcase packed and ready for adventure until Miss Grant comes along and he hops aboard and sets off for a whole new wonderful life on Miss Grant. We see the world and Miss Grant from the perspective of the ant. Here she comes with her red striped socks and her green checked pants and her big, bold jaunty stride and there goes the ant. "It came up her sock and ...." This ant is ready for business and heads directly to the lunch bag. The ant keeps roaming and Miss Grant keeps trying to get rid of it. With wonderful rhythm and rhyme and some great slapstick humor, the book is a great read especially for those reluctant readers who expect boring and tedious. Slipping in the mud and lining up at the vet clinic, Miss Grant searches for help and a remedy. Meanwhile, the ant makes himself at home, eyeglasses, comfy slippers and all.
