Christmas vacation is about to begin and Ms. Morgan, D.W.'s teacher, asks who will take the class gerbil home for the holidays. D.W. volunteers to take Speedy to her house. She's very excited and has big plans to teach Speedy some tricks. Speedy has a few tricks of his own and manages to escape from is cage at least four times over the vacation.
