What a great series this is for young readers who like to understand how things work. Now they named it Why Things Don't Work because at the beginning of each book, they show you what's not working. In this book they begin with Alice who wants to fly her Aunt's plane. But the plane won't fly because the piston engine is missing, instruments are missing from the instrument panel, the wings are not attached, etc. Now, how does one replace a piston engine? How does one re-attach the wings? Then, they set about showing how to put it all back together so it will work. It's all done with tons of pictures like a graphic novel. Perfect for young readers who read to understand the world and how things work. Information goes a long way for these young'uns.  32 pages  Ages 8-12  978-1410925560
