Without a doubt one of my favorites. I almost feel like saying just read it, but I guess that isn't fair. So what is it that makes it so good? Start with seventeen-year-old Macy who saw her beloved father fall dead with a heart attack and has never allowed herself to know how deeply she feels his loss. Then, throw in Macy's wacky job with a catering company. Balancing the poignancy and the angst are these fabulous catering characters who make life entertaining and don't take it all quite as seriously. You want that for yourself, so you hang in there waiting to see what Macy will make of it all and what life will hand her as she is finding her way. Deeply satisfying.
