**********

"What secret powers help me rule the African plains?"  Page one of this sophisticated introduction to some really special animals and the habitats they live in.  Our children grow up in a neighborhood with familiar landmarks they see on every car trip.  This book makes their understanding of their world a little bit bigger.

Each animal has a page of flaps.  Lift that flap and a secret ability, a secret power of this animal is revealed.  This one could fascinate many a young reader who loves knowing more and more facts and information about so many things. In this case, they are gathering facts about animals and these facts aren't going to be in the basic animal books for our very young listeners. These are a step up.

A delight... especially for our Investigators.
