Here’s a bright story about a little, little girl who is looking for someone to play with. As she goes in search, she bring along her great big voice and curiously, that causes her some problems. Animal after animal is doing something really fun like the “elephant blowing bubbles in the water,” but animal after animal they turn and run away from her. Hmm…what could be the problem? We all go in search of friends who will be “just right” for us. The message here seems to be keep looking and find someone who can accept you for who you are rather than the message about trying to subdue yourself to make people comfortable. Might be a nice opening for a discussion about the line between just being yourself and learning to work with others. Ages 4-8
