Meghan is looking forward to her sixteenth birthday: getting her driver's permit and a one-on-one tutoring session with the guy she has been crushing on forever. However, things don't turn out the way she expects when a prank makes the tutoring session a catastrophe and she comes home to find her little brother, Ethan, standing over her unconscious mother. Things get even crazier when her best friend Robbie Goodfell turns out to be the legendary faery Robin Goodfellow (Puck) from A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Puck explains that Ethan has been taken into the Nevernever and replaced with a changeling, a vicious little faery who will attack anyone. Meghan makes the decision to travel with Puck into the Nevernever to rescue her little brother. While there, she forms an alliance with Ash, a Winter Prince, and Grim, a cat, in order to find Ethan. Meghan is attracted to Ash, but will a relationship be forbidden between them when she finds out information about her true identity? (363 pages)
