It's been snowing and that means Sally and her brother are going to need to do some shoveling. They are hard at work until that cat with the bowtime and hat shows up ready for some more fun.  "This was no time for play./ This was no time for fun./  This was no time for games./ There was work to be done."

What kind of a mess will the mischievous cat in the hat make this time?  He's headed to the bathtub where he wants to eat his cake... and leave a pink ring around the tub.  That color pink is about to spread its way all around Sally's house as the Cat drags thing after thing out to help only making the pink mess even bigger.

Then out of his hat, the Cat finds little cats:  Cat A and Cat B and on and on and on as even smaller and smaller cats appear.  Plenty of fun for early readers who want some action in their primers.

*********

"The Cat in the Hat returns for more out-of-control fun in this wintry Beginner Book by Dr. Seuss. It’s a snowy day and Dick and Sally are stuck shoveling . . . until the Cat in the Hat arrives to liven things up (to say the least!). Featuring the Cat’s helpers Little Cat A, Little Cat B, and so on, and ending with a gigantic Voom, The Cat in the Hat Comes Back is a riotous, fun-filled follow-up to Dr. Seuss’s classic The Cat in the Hat.

Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning."--from the publisher
