Bear finds abandoned boat; after satisfying meal he falls asleep in the boat. Boat carries him to an abandoned lighthouse. Days later boy and dog find boat and again sea takes boat and new cargo to abandoned lighthouse. Bear and boy have adventure at the lighthouse. Bear goes back on his way; boy and dog play on the shore and boat is left bobbing out to sea.
A very satisfying story with much appeal for young readers.
