Sweet 15

Sweet 15

Destiny Lozada is going to be celebrating her fifteenth birthday. Her mother wants her to have a huge quinceanera celebration. Her sister, America, says it is a demeaning ceremony. Destiny tries to please everyone, and finally discovers what she wants to do and gets the courage to voice her wishes to her parents and sister. Along the way, Destiny evaluates friendships, discovers first love, and finds the strength to stand up for herself. The author’s sense of humor is apparent and is an added bonus to the book. 240 pages Ages 11 and up
