It's a great day to fly a kite. Sam and Dad had made a kite and now all bundled up in coats and scarves they're going to finally fly the kite. Dad launches it and up it climbs while Sam watches and wishes he was someone big enough to hold the string. The wind blows hard and we're off and running as Dad and the kite go flying up into the sky and Sam runs along below hearing those fateful words, "You're too smalllllll." The chase begins and more and more townspeople find themselves aloft on this windy day of days. Still Sam is too small to hold the string. This is one of those fun stories with large illustrations that is made for reading aloud to storytimes. Celebrate the wonder of spring and the wonder of being just small enough to be just right. Ages 3-6
