Okay, if you read SLACKER  then you already know Cam Boxer, middle schooler, video gamer, and founder of the Positive Action group (P.A.G.) at this middle school.  He is still hanging out with Pavel Dysan and Chuck Kinsey (the Awesome Threesome) and Daphne Leibowitz is still the best friend and champion of Elvis the Beaver.  If you haven't read SLACKER, go get it now.

So, here's the deal this time:  Cam Boxer believes that if he can get enough subscribers watching him play video games, he can make that his career.  Right now he's lucky if 5 people even watch him play much less subscribe.  He's decided to go for 50,000 subscribers to prove he's made the cut.  How do you go from a maybe-5 to a definite 50,000 paid subscribers?

That's Cam's first problem. His second problem is that the paggers  (P.A.G. members call themselves paggers) are deep into raising a whole lot of money for the local library.  Fundraising means time spent on something other than getting 50,000 subscribers.  Cam is faced with the reality that the school sponsor of P.A.G., Mr. Fanshaw, and all the paggers see him as their fearless leader and expect him to show up to all the events, bake sales, car washes, and the planning committee meetings.

So, Cam the wily, comes up with a plan.  He'll tell everyone he's failing school and needs all his time to study.  Meanwhile, back in the basement, he'll be upping his game and upping the subscriber count... with the help of his secret weapon.

It's fun.  It's funny.  You never know what Gordon Korman's Cam-like brain is going to come up with next so expect the twists.

Hilarious. Zany. Wacky. Highly entertaining.  And of course, a career opportunity guide for all video gamers.

*************

Cameron Boxer, king of the slackers, has found something worth his time. By playing video games online in front of an audience he can find both fame AND fortune -- especially with Elvis (a beaver who seems to love video games as much as Cam) at his side.

The only problem? Things keep getting in Cam's way. Like school. And the club he accidentally started. And the misguided people in his life who don't think beavers should be playing video games.

It's going to take some trickery, some close calls, and a fierce devotion to slacking in order for Cam to get to his goal -- conquering the game's infamous Level 13. But if any slacker can do it, Cam can.--from the publisher
