Rose's Garden

Young, winsome Rose has traveled the world in a teapot gathering seeds from every port and destination along the way. Returning home she is looking for a place to plant her seeds. The harbormaster encourages her to "sail upriver" but Rose sets her sights on the city instead.

With dreams of bringing color and joy and possibilities to the "forgotten" patch she happens upon, Rose turns to her task with great faith. But nothing is easy and her hopes are challenged by hungry birds, rain, wind, cold and heat. Does she give up? Do you? In delicate, simple, smiling drawings Rose's story blooms and the message that dreams plus perseverance can inspire those around you shines through. Look what we can do together. (Dedicated to the late Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy) Ages 4-9 40 pages
