The king is dead. Long live King Kitt and King Kitt has just sent his Enforcer, his brother Kai, to find and bring back the Ordinary who is responsible for this whole bloody mess. So we begin.
This task is going to be tough. Kai is determined to find "Gray" and Paedyn is remarkably self reliant and smart enough to outwit and outlast anyone who comes after her.
This is the story of two powerful human beings who are drawn to each other with a powerful attraction. They may not want that in their lives but it's something they really can't deny. Now, their stories are going to merge a bit and some secrets are going to be revealed.
Kai is determined to fulfill his promise to the King, his brother. Blood is spilled time and time again. Desperation drives the two, Kai and Paedyn, to learn more and more about each other and to struggle to maintain their walls and powerful feelings.
Back at the castle, Kitt is fighting his own battles. It's hard to be king especially when you're falling apart. Eyes are watching.
Book two is always a challenge in a trilogy. You can't tie it all up yet. What Lauren Roberts has done here is give us raw desire and equally raw human beings who are ripping away layers to get to their core truths.
It's another beauty.
So, get the wine or whatever and the snacks and find your spot. Personally, I saved this book when I got it so I could read it at a time I could stay with it and not have to set it down. I really wanted to stay with Kai and Paedyn and not abandon them when they are giving us so much.
Enjoy! Can't wait for FEARLESS! See you in April.
