Fourteen year old Liam and friend, Max, find an abandoned baby lying on a stack of stones. They take the baby to the authorities. Later, when visiting the baby, now named Alison, Liam meets two older foster children in the same home. A girl, Crystal, and refugee, Oliver, from Liberia, escape the foster home and travel to join Liam. The trio join forces and head out for a new life. However circumstances work against them, and they are stopped.
