Ranger's Apprentice, Book 6: The Siege of Macindaw

The continuation of Will Treaty's adventures in Norgate at Castle Macindaw, finds the young Ranger reunited with his friend Horace. The young knight has been sent by Halt and Crowley to lend Will a hand... and some much needed muscle. With the plans for the siege underway, the two young men must think of a way to lay siege to a castle fortress with less than thirty men. Add to it that the traitorous Sir Keren has formed an uneasy alliance with the Scotti clans to use Macindaw as a base of operations for their invasion of Araluen. And the matter takes on an increased urgency. Heavy on Will's mind, as well is a way to rescue Alyss from the tower keep and prevent Keren from hypnotizing her once more. But even with the aid of the Skandian crew, the odds seem insurmountable. Things become increasingly pressing as a Scotti delegation arrives at Macindaw to finals the plans for invasion. Along with Malcolm and his tribe of misfits, Will, Horace and the Skandians just may prove the old adage: never underestimate a Ranger. This sixth novel in the series, finishes up Will's adventures in Norgate and leaves open the way for new complications as our young Ranger continues to grow in maturity.
