Her father died two years ago, and her mother just can't talk about it. In fact the whole family waits to face the truth about what happened. So, Isabelle finds herself with an eating disorder, and, after her little sister "tells" on her, Bella is headed to "group." She finds herself in a small group of young women all of whom have eating disorders, but then Ashley, perfect Ashley, walks in the door. Sitting face-to-face with her, Isabelle has to tell Ashley how she feels about her body. Then Ashley has to tell about her body. What could Ashley possibly have to dislike about her perfect self? For Isabelle, this is an awakening process, and she begins to find her feelings and to find herself. Nicely done. 232 pages Ages 12-15
