A few decades ago I was working in an independent children's bookstore and I met a very special book on the boardbook shelves called One Yellow Lion. It was absolutely magical. I could recommend it as a new baby gift, a first birthday gift...the list went on and on. It was so fun. That book was created by a talent by the name of Matthew Van Fleet.
Any time I see a new Matthew Van Fleet book in the news or on the shelves, I can't wait to pick it up and see what he's created this time. There are a few authors/creators out there that really hold to their standard and they hold that standard high. He's one of them and his books are wonderful time and time again.
Here is Oscar.... definitely a special addition to the Van Fleet museum of great books for our wiggliest toddlers.
