Mysterious Matter of I. M. Fine

Franny is the new kid at school, and as she looks around, she notices that everyone is reading the "Chillers" series of books. This observation becomes more critical when she realizes that everyone who has read the new book in the series is coming down with a virus. Then, after reading the next book they all begin to have snakish tendencies. Hmmmm...what dark plot is being played out here? The answer to this mystery is found by seeking out the author, Ida May Fine. This is a great spoof of the R. L. Stine books and the effect of marketing on children.
