A little polar bear asks his mother, "Am I a polar bear?" They are walking through the icy, white world of the Arctic. She reassures her little one. He then asks, "How do you know?" The mother bear lovingly assures the cub that he has all he needs to be a polar bear. Then, he shares his fear that he doesn't do polar bear things very well and again she reassures him that he will learn all he needs to know to grow up to be a wonderful, confident bear. What a lovely, gentle reminder that adults are there to teach and protect children until they are ready to stand on their own. |
