The Beresford luxury apartment building is 50 stories and one of the higher buildings in town. Why was there a death there when it was being built? When Beresford’s dad was pushed from the top floor of the Beresford apartment building when it was being built he never left the building again. He forgets his past life and names himself after the building. He never leaves and for years lives in the walls of the building learning everything there is to know about it. He survives by stealing from the tenants and using vacant apartments. Then Melody McGrath a teen pop sensation moves to the 50th floor and he falls immediately in love. He spends as much time as he can inside the walls of her apartment and learning everything about her he can. Melody is the star in a top TV show and an upcoming singer but her mother is abusively domineering and runs every aspect of her career. Melody awakes one night to find Beresford in her bedroom but instead of screaming and being afraid she starts to fall in love with him. They are caught one night by the super of the building in the walls of her bedroom and from there the lives of both are turned upside down. While trying to escape the super of the building Beresford accidentally sees a bomb in the basement but doesn’t recognizing what it is. Who is trying to blow up the building? Will Melody be safe? What is going to happen to Beresford? Recommended by: Joleen Waltman, Librarian, Idaho USA
