You know, I worked at an independent children’s bookstore for about nine years and in that time a few books stood out for me. This is one of those books. The poems are short and are about different things in nature. They’re about the moon or symmetry or a song. The illustrations are luscious. The combination of the two reaches you in a way that few books do these days. Inspirational.
