Lionel in the Winter

The snow clouds are rolling in as Lionel and his family are cleaning up the kitchen together. The more Lionel talks about how cold it will be the more family members disappear to make sure they'll have everything they need to keep warm. Finally Lionel looks around the empty room and realizes that sometimes winter can be "a little lonely." In the second story, titled "The Explorer," Lord Lionel Snowshoe is deep in the arctic with his dogsled and a raging storm. Will he make it out alive? In the third story, "The New Year," Lionel's sister teaches him all about New Year's resolutions and he comes up with a whole list for her . "Stop picking the pepperoni off our pizzas..." Finally, in "The Snowman," Lionel and his friend, Jeffrey, build a snowman in Lionel's front yard but instead of having him face the street, this snowman is looking at the house where the fun stuff is. 48 pages Ages 4-8
