Lila Bloom

Lila is having a miserable day. Everyone else has more strawberries on their waffles than she does and her little sister wipes syrup on Lila's favorite sweatshirt. We are talking just plain old miserable. That's why in the car on the way to ballet class Lila decides she has had enough. No more ballet class for her. No more plies or jetes. She is quitting and today is her last day. Hallelujah. Class begins and Lila is frittering her time away until Madame Vera sees her and embarrasses her by asking why she's dancing like an "old noodle." Now Lila is determined to show Madame Vera just how good a dancer she is and just how much Madame Vera and everyone else in that class is going to miss her when she walks out never to return.
