Leonardo the Terrible Monster

Leonardo is not big and scary like other monsters, and he cannot frighten anybody. One day, he decides to find the most easily-scared person he can. After careful research (the illustration is a librarian’s delight!), Leonardo discovers Sam. When he sneaks up on the boy and lets him have it, Sam cries, and Leonardo is thrilled. But when Sam tells him all the things that went wrong that made him cry, Leonardo makes an important decision.
